The sweet and the salty together tastes phenomenal, its the perfect light and fresh dessert for any occasion, its such a wonderful, scrumptious dessert! One of my favorite things about this particular recipe is that you can make so many delicious variations if you’re not in the mood for strawberry! I have done blueberry, peach and raspberry! This Recipe is so ultra easy! The hardest part was waiting for it to chill. Then mix a brick of cream cheese with some sugar and cool whip. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes and let cool completely. It has always turned out wonderful each and every time, always receives great reviews and many requests for the recipe! Crust: 2 cups pretzel crumbs (165 grams), from about 3 heaping cups salted small pretzels. Press the pretzel mixture onto a 9×13 glass baking dish. Stir together sour cream and remaining 1/4 cup sugar spread over top of strawberry layer sprinkle with pecans. Spread gelatin mixture over cream cheese layer chill 8 hours or until set. You can also top the squares with additional whipped cream and fresh strawberries if desired. The last step is cutting it into squares and serving. Cover your baking dish and refrigerate 4 to 6 hours or until the jello layer is set and firm. I have been making this delicious recipe for years. Stir together gelatin and 2 cups boiling water until dissolved add strawberries. Gently spoon the cooled jello evenly over the strawberries.
